Primarily, this program is focused on helping Young Americans do something amazing that they do not have the monetary means to do otherwise.
Because there is no single way to identify that type of individual, several qualifiers will be considered during the application process. Among these may be: household income relative to the state’s poverty level, qualification for the school’s free/discounted lunch program, and/or other such data.
Generally, the program is available to male or females who will be 16 years of age by the end of their sophomore year (preferably those already with a driver’s license) and whom have demonstrated a desire to improve in school and society or perhaps expressed a specific interest in aviation.
Family support will also weigh heavily in a decision for program admittance.
