The purchaser? The “one way” - Jesus Christ.
The beautiful thing about the Christian message is its simplicity. Too many spend too much energy making it too complicated.
The Bible tells us that there is one God who is righteous, perfect, holy and loving. That one God designed you personally and wants to spend eternity with you after this physical, earthly life ends.
The problem? His perfect nature prevents our being in His presence. There can be no harmony when complete perfection and total imperfection meet. We cannot coexist with a perfect God while we are yet sinners – imperfect.
The solution? God sent Jesus Christ to rectify the problem. Jesus lived, died and then conquered death itself to pay the price associated with our imperfection. Jesus reconciled us to God himself by erasing our sins so that God only sees us and no longer our imperfection.
What makes this message so different? The difference is that no other belief system (religion) has a risen, death-defying Savior. The empty tomb is the difference.
What do we have to do then go to Heaven? Work hard? Give generously? Be nice? Go to church? NOPE. One thing…pray to accept Jesus for who He is and what He did. A gift is only a gift if someone accepts it.
Pray today…right now…to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Claim Him. Tell Him in your own way and words that you believe He is God’s Son, that He lived-died-and rose again for you, that you accept His gift and that from this day forward, you invite Him to lead you and take control.
Do not wait until you have your life “more in order” or until you “become a better person” or for whatever other reason you may have for putting off a decision for Jesus. Pray today to secure your way!
